March 2017

It's been awhile since we've updated!

For March's book club we discussed Trevor Noah's autobiography, Born A Crime.

We met at Shauna's house and ate an amazing spread of breads and toppings with fancy names I don't remember. It was all to die for!

I love it that you ladies still get together.

I'm writing a memoir related to our experiences in Germany, and naturally wanted to include something about book club before our big move. I have so many fond memories of traveling the world and time together with you through the books we read, the food we ate, and the discussions we had.

I was thinking about when we'd read Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie, and I found a dead body in our neighborhood park. Because you are such great record keepers, I could search for that meeting and find out when it was.

By the way, I think your monthly gatherings have an anti-aging benefit to them, in addition to the above mentioned. Everyone looks the same as I remember you being, and Stephanie, with your haircut, you look even younger!

With all the time I end up spending in the car here, I seem to listen to books more than read them. With Robyn now driving, I'm guessing this will soon change. I've enjoyed The Magic Strings of Frankie Presto. Totally different from Mitch Albom's other books.

One last tidbit-we're expecting girl #5 in July.

Hope everyone's well. You're a golden group I miss! Take care :)
