Book Club At Shannon's...

It will come as no surprise that we had another marvelous time at book club.  Brenda reviewed The Sweetness at the Bottom of the Pie and Shannon provided quite the spread.

Most of us agreed that although some of the situations Flavia found herself in were a little unbelievable we really liked her and how precocious she was.

The Black Penny stamps from the book

Chicken Pesto Pizza with artichoke hearts.  I for one really want the recipe!

This blueberry pie is soooo good.  It even had a special "sweetness" at the bottom of the pie!

Here is the beloved rocker that Rebecca claimed as her throne.

Bethany, Shauna, Christie & Shephanie (holding her adhesives from the free-for-all)

Krisite, Shannon, Brenda & Britney

Heidi, Kara & Her Majesty Rebecca (Don't touch the chair!)

Thanks Shannon for hosting everything was perfect!!
See you next month.

Seriously, the food was SO delicious (recipes wanted ASAP). Thanks so much for hosting Shannon!

Heidi, you are the best Book Club President ever! I can't believe you already have all the books on our sidebar too. You're amazing- you'd better not ever quit the job b/c no one else could do it as well as you!

In case any of you missed your Savvy Shopper Mailer today, IM Home is featuring the coveted throne at its Un-Presidential Sale this weekend. (I guess the sales are SO great, they're un-presidential). I don't think it's as good of a steal as Shannon got, but you could check it out!

PS I just finished A Long Way from Chicago today and loved it. Very funny and very sweet. I have it for a couple more wks. from the library, if anyone wants to borrow it.
